We brewed the NDIS gossip so you don’t have to. Fraudsters got served. Support workers got pay bumps. And a $2B kids’ plan has everyone talking. Psst… the SwiftyMatchy waitlist is open. Ready to lock in your perfect support match?
Little Kids, Big Plans 🎈
The federal gov announced “Thriving Kids”—a $2 billion plan to help young children with mild developmental delay or autism outside the NDIS.
Goal: give families early support (think check-ups and some therapy via Medicare) so not every child needs an NDIS plan.
Timing: planned to roll out from July 2026.
Promise: no child on NDIS loses supports until the new services are ready.
Some parents are nervous (fair), but early help done right = good.
Empty Houses, Big Problem 🏠
SDA housing was meant to be a win. Right now, lots of new SDA homes are empty. Why?
Many were built on the city fringe—cheap land, but far from shops, doctors, community.
People want homes where they actually live.
Lesson: build in the right places, with real community around.
But it’s not all doom. When SDA works, it really works.
Bruce lived in institutions for 50 years. He moved into a custom SDA apartment in the heart of the city and found independence, friends, and a whole new life. That’s the dream. Let’s do more of that.

Personal Note 💜
Hey fam, Sarah here (your SwiftyMatchy sass-master 🙋♀️). I chatted with Amy & Aaron on Marco Polo Portal about community and choice—and I may have spilled tea about the app 😏.
Big love to Laura from Feed Me Nutrition for keeping our community strong and informed. You’re a star.
Till then,
Keep your boots high, your standards higher 👢✨
Stay bratty, stay bold 💋
