AI’s writing plans, hospitals are bed-blocked, and aged care’s barely holding on by a tinsel thread. We’ve got NDIS news hotter than a Mariah whistle note — big tech, big tension, and even bigger vibes. Let’s go. 🎄
🌧️ It Rained Events for International Day of People with Disability!
December 3rd was the big one — and honestly, the vibes were overflowing just like the weather 😂
From community art shows and expos to workshops, BBQs and dance-offs, it was raining events across the country. So many legends showed up, showed off, and reminded us why disability pride deserves the spotlight every day.

🤖 Robo-Plans? AI Is Writing NDIS Plans Now?!
Yep, you read that right.
From mid-2026, new plans will be created by a central AI tool (called I‑CAN v6) that decides what you get based on your answers — not a person who meets you.
The kicker? You can’t appeal the actual funding amount. You can only ask the NDIA to try again.
Early advocacy groups like Every Australian Counts are already throwing up red flags.

😤 This Annoyed Me
June sits alone. Deaf, 87, and stuck in a Brisbane aged care home with zero Auslan support. Her family begged for help. Still nothing. She can’t even have a conversation — because no one speaks her language.
👉 Imagine being trapped somewhere you can’t even say “hello.”
This isn’t rare. Deaf seniors are being left out of aged care completely. Language = connection = dignity. Auslan interpreters should be non-negotiable. We see you, June. And we’re mad with you.
