We’ll keep you in the loop on all the juicy updates minus the snooze-factor.
Because honestly? This week was giving “Mr. Worldwide meets NDIS growth mindset.” 🕶️
From dancing with Pitbull and Mariah Carey at Marvel to networking with Paul, Nat, and James at Provider X’s Business Growth Workshops, it’s been a vibe.
The energy? Big. The takeaways? Even bigger.
Between the sequins and the spreadsheets, one thing’s clear — the care sector’s not slowing down, it’s glowing up. ✨
Because whether you’re managing rosters or hitting dance floors, this week proved one thing — the sector’s got rhythm and resilience. Let’s talk about it 👇
💖 Hey Team
What. A. Week.
If there were frequent flyer points for NDIS networking, I’d be cashing them in already. Between business growth chats, powerhouse humans, and a dash of Mariah Carey sparkle (yes, that happened), this Brat’s been everywhere.
Earlier in the week, I got to hang with Nat & James at Provider X’s Business Growth Workshops, hosted by Paul — and the vibe was electric.💡
Picture it: a room full of curious, hungry, up-and-coming providers swapping ideas on systems, sustainability, and what real growth in the NDIS looks like. No ego. No corporate buzzwords. Just people building better. It reminded me why I fell in love with this sector — watching good people do good work.
Then came FridayZ (technically Saturday — don’t ask 😅).
I traded spreadsheets for sequins and headed to Marvel Stadium for Mariah Carey + Pitbull. The atmosphere? Electric. The crowd? LOUD. The nostalgia? Off the charts.
Yes, I brought my camcorder because my phone storage said “girl, no.”
And yes, I danced the night away in a corporate box, feeling suave AF.
Massive shoutout to Doors Blinds Shutters for the invite — this 80’s baby loves a comfy seat, a solid drink, and a loo without a 40-minute queue. 😂

And honestly? It hit me — sometimes support workers and providers need our own version of a Pitbull night. That pure joy moment. Because when we’re burnt out, no amount of spreadsheets or strategy will fix it — but laughter, music, and a good night out just might.
So, consider my serotonin fully recharged and my voice slightly gone. 🎤✨
Now that we’ve had our glam moment — let’s dive into what’s been shaking across Australia in the NDIS and Aged-Care world 👇
What’s Happening Australia-Wide
🧓 Aged-Care Fees Going Up (Next Week!)
Older Aussies are bracing for higher in-home care fees starting Nov 1st. Advocates are warning people might drop vital services because of cost hikes.
➡ If you, or someone you support, gets home-care — time to check your plan and chat with your provider about what’s changing.
🌏 Multicultural Aged Care Still Missing the Mark
Despite the new Aged Care Act 2024 launching this week, CALD (culturally & linguistically diverse) communities are worried it still doesn’t address real-world gaps.
➡ For providers: think inclusive menus, multilingual staff, and cultural awareness training.
📊 New Fee Schedules Released
The government dropped fresh fee + charge tables for residential & home care — effective 1 Nov 2025. (Translation: more paperwork = more coffee.)
♿ NDIS Frustrations Still Brewing
Participants continue to call out “nonsensical” funding rejections. It’s highlighting how confusing the current rules still are.
➡ Support workers — double-check your documentation; clarity counts when explaining support types.
🗺 State-by-State Wrap
🏙 New South Wales
🚨 Falls Crisis in Aged Care Homes
A recent report found 6 in 10 residents in one NSW aged-care home had a fall over 3 months. Lack of staff + exercise programs to blame.
➡ If you work in a facility, advocate for falls prevention training and activity plans.
🦋 Victoria
🌸 Cultural Care Gap Hits Home
Victoria was mentioned in the national CALD report — only a handful of aged-care facilities provide language-specific or cultural programming.
➡ Participants & families: ask how your provider caters to cultural needs.
☀️ Queensland
No major local headlines this week — but rumour mill says new small-provider collaborations are forming up north. Love to see the glow-ups happening.
The Rest (SA | WA | TAS | ACT | NT)
Quiet on the news front — but we know those behind-the-scenes reforms keep ticking away. Stay tuned; November’s usually when updates drop.
💬 What It Means for You
✨ Participants: Keep an eye on your invoices + fee letters. If anything changes, ask why — and make sure your funding still covers your supports.
✨ Support Workers: Be ready to explain changes simply. Participants will come to you with questions. Knowledge = trust.
✨ Providers: If you’re not talking pricing, inclusivity & retention right now — you’re behind. Growth isn’t just scaling; it’s serving smarter.

💌 Wrap-Up
From policy shifts to Pitbull hits — it’s been a rollercoaster in care land.
If you’re feeling the chaos, breathe. You’re part of a massive movement reshaping care in Australia — with grit, heart, and a little sparkle ✨
Here’s to my Divas taking on the sector — the ones building, supporting, and showing up every damn day. Keep that energy loud, your coffee strong, and your standards higher.
See you next Sunday for another Swifty Matchy wrap-up — hopefully with fewer fee changes and more bangers 🎶
